Involving citizens in REGROUP research: A conversation with eu!radio
REGROUP member Rita Hornok, Research Assistant at the Institute of European Studies at the Jagiellonian University in Krakow, has recently discussed the REGROUP mini-publics approach in an interview with eu!radio.
After summarizing the goals and topics of our mini-publics, Rita dives into the mini-publics organized in Krakow by the Jagiellonian University team. Here, participants emphasized the need for transparency and public involvement in decision-making. They identified disinformation as a major challenge and recommended raising public awareness and critical thinking skills through education. Finally, participants suggested the EU should actively combat disinformation and conduct regular public polls on relevant issues.
