Governing crisis: Comparative and multilevel analysis
Work package 1 – Diagnosis
Work package 1 investigates how and to what extent the Covid-19 crisis, the related debates, and measures to combat the pandemic have fundamentally reordered European polities and public policies at national and supranational level. Cases, institutions, and policy areas in Europe will be studied to examine the crisis phase and subsequent attempts to foster recovery across the continent. This work package will draw on recent institutionalist theories of change to produce recommendations on how to restructure governance and public policies in Europe post-crisis.
